My grandma used to make me Mickey Mouse pancakes when I was little and ever since pancakes have been one of my favorite breakfast foods. Pancakes were one of the first things I taught myself to make when I started to cook. It took me a couple tries to get the texture, flavor, and coloring right. I finally found a recipe that wasn’t too sweet, and it is this recipe I would like to pass on to y’all.
These pancakes are thick and fluffy and are a wonderful combination of sweet and buttery. You can add chocolate chips, your choice of berries, or basically anything else you would like to these tasty treats. But if you ask me, these are great just the way they are! I hope y’all enjoy these as much as me and my husband do!

It is important to mix the dry ingredients and wet separately and then add the wet ingredients to the dry ones. This makes around 10 pancakes, depending on how large of a pancake you make.
Ingredients:
1 and ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
3 and ½ tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
½ cup Water
1 Egg, Beaten
½ cup Melted Butter
The Batter
Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat one egg and add the heavy cream, water, and butter.
Slowly whisk in the wet ingredients in with the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
Cooking the Pancakes
Lightly spray a large skillet with non-stick spray and set to medium-high heat.
When small bubbles form in the batter, flip the pancake. It should be a light golden brown.
Let the other side of the pancake cook for 2-3 minutes. Gently lift the edge of the pancake to check for the golden-brown coloring.
Remove pancake from the pan when it is light golden brown.
Repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 until there is no batter left.

Have Fun With It!
These fluffy, soft, delicious pancakes are a great option for kids in the morning! Y'all can freeze these breakfast treats and reheat them in a toaster, oven, or stove. Make sure to place parchment paper between each layer of pancakes, if you are going to freeze them. Let me know what y'all think in the comments below!
